Un giorno, ciascuno dovrà incontrare il Guardiano della Soglia e affrontarlo. Questo essere si trova nella nona sefirah, Iesod. Con il suo aspetto spaventoso, minaccia l’adepto presuntuoso che cerca di avventurarsi in regioni in cui si può entrare solo dopo aver lavorato sulla purezza, il dominio di sé e la forza d’animo. Riesce a vincere il Guardiano della Soglia soltanto il discepolo che, armato di conoscenze, è riuscito a dominare i propri istinti inferiori. Basta uno sguardo: «Vattene!», e quello scompare liberando il cammino verso le altezze.
Those disciples of an initiatic school who seek to gain access to the spiritual world without having done any previous preparatory work will one day find themselves defenceless in the presence of the fearsome being known as the guardian of the threshold. In reality, this being is not external to them and exists within all human beings. It is formed by all their accumulated lower tendencies – their greed, sensuality, aggression, and so on – and it bars their way, preventing them from entering those regions they do not yet have a right to enter.
One day, we must all meet the guardian of the threshold and face him. He is to be found in the ninth sephirah, Yesod. His threatening face strikes terror into any follower presumptuously attempting to venture into regions that can only be accessed by one who has worked on purity, mastery and moral strength. Only those disciples armed with knowledge and who have achieved control over their lower instincts succeed in overcoming the guardian of the threshold. Then one look is enough – ‘Be off with you!’ – and he disappears, freeing the path to the heights.
Die Schüler einer Einweihungsschule, die danach trachten, zur spirituellen Welt Zugang zu bekommen, ohne sich durch eine innere Arbeit vorbereitet zu haben, stehen eines Tages wehrlos vor diesem schrecklichen Wesen, das man den Hüter der Schwelle nennt. In Wirklichkeit ist dieses Wesen nicht außerhalb von ihnen, sondern in jedem Menschen; es wird gebildet aus der Anhäufung all seiner niederen Neigungen, den Begierden, der Sinnlichkeit, der Aggressivität usw. und es versperrt ihm den Weg, es lässt ihn nicht in jene Regionen eindringen, zu denen er noch kein Zugangsrecht hat.
Jeder muss eines Tages dem Hüter der Schwelle begegnen und mit ihm fertig werden. Er befindet sich in der neunten Sephira Iesod. Mit seinem schrecklichen Gesicht bedroht er den anmaßenden Adepten, der sich in Regionen vorwagt, in die man nur hineinkommt, nachdem man an der Reinheit, der Selbstbeherrschung und der Seelenkraft gearbeitet hat. Allein jener Schüler, der mit Kenntnissen ausgerüstet ist und dem es gelingt, seine niederen Instinkte zu beherrschen, kann den Hüter der Schwelle besiegen. Ein Blick genügt: »Verschwinde!« worauf dieser sich davonmacht und den Weg in die Höhen freigibt.
Les disciples d’une École initiatique qui cherchent à accéder au monde spirituel sans s’y être préparés par un travail préalable, se trouvent un jour sans défense devant cet être terrible que l’on appelle le Gardien du Seuil. En réalité, cet être-là n’est pas extérieur à eux, il est en chaque être humain, il est formé par l’accumulation de toutes ses tendances inférieures : les convoitises, la sensualité, l’agressivité, etc., et il lui barre le chemin, il ne le laisse pas pénétrer dans ces régions auxquelles il n’a pas encore le droit d’accéder.
Chacun doit un jour rencontrer le Gardien du Seuil et lui faire face. Il se trouve dans la neuvième séphira, Iésod. Il menace de sa face épouvantable l’adepte présomptueux qui cherche à s’aventurer dans des régions où on ne peut entrer qu’après avoir travaillé sur la pureté, la maîtrise, la force d’âme. Seul le disciple armé de connaissances et qui a réussi à dominer ses instincts inférieurs, arrive à vaincre le Gardien du Seuil. Un regard suffit : « Va-t-en ! » et il disparaît, libérant le chemin vers les hauteurs.

Na realidade, esse ser não é exterior a eles, ele existe em cada ser humano, é formado pela acumulação de todas as suas tendências inferiores: as invejas, a sensualidade, a agressividade, etc., e barra-lhe o caminho, não o deixa penetrar nessas regiões a que ele ainda não tem o direito de aceder.
Todos deverão um dia encontrar o Guardião do Umbral e enfrentá-lo. Ele está na nona séfira, Iesod. Ele ameaça, com a sua face terrível, o adepto presunçoso que procura aventurar-se em regiões onde só se pode entrar depois de se ter trabalhado para ter a pureza, o autodomínio, a força da alma. Só o discípulo detentor de conhecimentos e que conseguiu dominar os seus instintos inferiores consegue vencer o Guardião do Umbral. Basta um olhar: «Vai-te embora!» e ele desaparece, deixando livre o caminho para as alturas.
Los discípulos de una Escuela iniciática que buscan acceder al mundo espiritual sin estar preparados para ello mediante un trabajo previo, se encuentran un día indefensos ante este ser terrible al que llaman el Guardián del Umbral. En realidad, este ser no es exterior a ellos, se encuentra en cada ser humano, está formado por la acumulación de todas sus tendencias inferiores: la codicia, la sensualidad, la agresividad, etc,… y le corta el camino, no le deja penetrar en esas regiones a las cuales no tiene derecho a acceder.
Cada uno debe un día encontrar al Guardián del Umbral y hacerle frente. Se encuentra en la novena séfira, Iesod. Amenaza con su espantoso rostro al adepto presuntuoso que pretende aventurarse en las regiones donde no se puede entrar hasta haber trabajado con la pureza, el dominio, la fuerza del alma. Sólo el discípulo armado de conocimientos y que ha conseguido dominar sus instintos inferiores, consigue vencer al Guardián del Umbral. Una mirada es suficiente: «¡Vete!» y desaparece, dejando libre el camino hacia las alturas.
Ученики Посвященческой Школы, стремящиеся достичь духовного мира, не проведя предварительно подготовительную работу, однажды оказываются без защиты перед тем ужасным существом, которого называют Страж Порога. На самом деле это существо не вне их, оно в каждом человеческом существе. Его формируют все накопления его низших стремлений: вожделения, чувственность, агрессивность и т.д., и он ему преграждает путь, он не позволяет ему проникнуть в те области, куда ему еще нет доступа.
Каждый должен однажды повстречать Стража Порога и противостоять ему. Он находится в девятой сефире, ИесодИ. Своим ужасным видом он угрожает самонадеянному адепту, который ищет приключений в областях, куда нельзя войти, не поработав над чистотой, самообладанием, силой духа. Только ученику, вооруженному знаниями, которому удалось возобладать над своими низшими инстинктами, удается победить Стража Порога. Достаточно одного взгляда: «Уходи!» – и он исчезает, освобождая путь к вершинам.
