• La materia fisica che noi conosciamo non è che un aspetto della materia. La vera materia non è quella, e neppure i chimici e i fisici la conoscono. Quando questi decidono di disgregarla, si accontentano di constatare che essa libera dell’energia. In realtà, se avessero apparecchi più sofisticati, scoprirebbero che quella materia ha ceduto il posto a un'altra materia, più tenue, più sottile, che appartiene a un'altra regione. Ma la materia ultima, gli esseri umani non riusciranno mai a disgregarla: solo Dio può farlo. Quando Egli disgregherà la materia, questa ritornerà in seno a Lui e più nulla esisterà: sarà il silenzio assoluto, la Notte cosmica. Sino ad allora, la scomparsa della materia somiglia alla scomparsa delle nubi. Lo avete visto tutti: in un cielo blu, uniformemente puro, poche nuvole bianche cominciano a formarsi. Da dove sono venute?... E qualche istante dopo, si fondono nello spazio: non si vedono più, ma sono sempre lì. In realtà, è la densità della materia che cambia; la materia invece non scompare, perché è il polo complementare dello spirito. Neppure la fissione dell’atomo fa scomparire la materia.
• The physical matter we know is just one aspect of matter. It is not true matter – even chemists and physicists do not know what that is. When they start breaking matter down, they merely note that energy is released. If their tools were more sophisticated, they would in fact discover that this matter has given way to another finer, subtler matter, belonging to another realm. But humans will never succeed in breaking down ultimate matter: only God can do that. When he breaks matter down, it will return to his bosom; nothing will exist anymore, and there will be absolute silence, a cosmic night. Until then, matter disappears the way clouds disappear. You will have seen it happen: a few white clouds begin to form out of a uniformly clear blue sky. Where have they come from? And a few moments later, they have faded into space and are no longer visible, although they are there. It is really the density of matter that changes; matter itself does not disappear, for it is the complementary pole to spirit. Even splitting the atom does not make matter disappear.
• Die physische Materie, die wir kennen, ist nur ein Aspekt der Materie. Die wahre Materie ist nicht dort und selbst die Chemiker und Physiker kennen sie nicht. Wenn sie sie zum Zerfallen bringen, begnügen sie sich mit der Feststellung, dass sie Energie freisetzt. Wären ihre Apparate weiterentwickelt, würden sie entdecken, dass diese Materie in Wirklichkeit den Platz frei gemacht hat für eine feinere, subtilere, einer anderen Region zugehörige Materie. Aber die allerletzte Materie werden die Menschen niemals zum Zerfallen bringen, das kann nur Gott. Wenn Er die Materie zerfallen lässt, wird sie in Seinen Schoß zurückkehren, nichts wird mehr existieren, es wird absolute Stille und kosmische Nacht herrschen. Bis dahin ähnelt das Verschwinden der Materie dem Verschwinden der Wolken. Ihr habt das gesehen: An einem gleichmäßig blauen Himmel beginnen sich einige weiße Wolken zu bilden. Woher sind sie gekommen? Und einige Augenblicke später lösen sie sich im Raum auf, man sieht nichts mehr, aber sie sind da. In Wirklichkeit hat sich die Dichte der Materie verändert; die Materie verschwindet selbst nicht, denn sie ist der ergänzende Pol des Geistes. Selbst die Atomspaltung bringt die Materie nicht zum Verschwinden.

Lorsqu’ils entreprennent de la désagréger, ils se contentent de constater qu’elle libère de l’énergie. En réalité, s’ils avaient des appareils plus perfectionnés, ils découvriraient que cette matière a cédé la place à une autre matière, plus ténue, plus subtile, qui appartient à une autre région. Mais la matière ultime, les humains n’arriveront jamais à la désagréger : seul Dieu peut le faire. Jusque-là, la disparition de la matière ressemble à la disparition des nuages. Vous avez vu cela : dans un ciel bleu uniformément pur, quelques nuages blancs commencent à se former. D’où sont-ils venus ?... Et quelques instants après, ils se fondent dans l’espace, on ne voit plus rien, mais ils sont là. En réalité, c’est la densité de la matière qui change ; la matière, elle, ne disparaît pas, car elle est le pôle complémentaire de l’esprit. Même la fission de l’atome ne fait pas disparaître la matière.
• A matéria física que nós conhecemos é apenas um aspecto da matéria. A verdadeira matéria não é esta, e nem os físicos e os químicos a conhecem. Quando eles tentam desagregar a matéria física, limitam-se a constatar que ela liberta energia. Na realidade, se eles tivessem aparelhos mais aperfeiçoados, descobririam que essa matéria cedeu o lugar a uma outra, mais ténue, mais subtil, que pertence a outra região. A matéria última, os humanos jamais conseguirão desagregá-la: só Deus pode fazê-lo. Quando Ele desagregar a matéria, ela voltará para o Seu seio, já nada existirá, será o silêncio absoluto, a noite cósmica. Até lá, o desaparecimento da matéria assemelha-se ao desaparecimento das nuvens. Vós já vistes isso: num céu azul uniformemente puro, começam a formar-se algumas nuvens brancas. De onde vieram elas?... E, alguns instantes depois, elas dissolvem-se no espaço, já não se vêem, mas estão lá. Na realidade, é a densidade da matéria que muda; a matéria não desaparece, pois é o pólo complementar do espírito. Mesmo a fissão do átomo não faz desaparecer a matéria.
