Nella Bibbia il serpente è il simbolo del male, ma secondo i cabalisti esso  può raggiungere soltanto certe sefiroth: al di là di queste, la regione più  elevata, formata dalle tre sefiroth Kéther, Hohmah e Binah, gli è preclusa.  Pertanto, quale conclusione possiamo trarre da questa affermazione per la  nostra vita interiore? Poiché siamo creati a immagine dell'Universo, esiste  anche in noi una regione in cui il male non trova più le condizioni favorevoli all'esistenza. Nelle regioni sublimi del nostro essere e dell'Universo, regnano  una tale luce e una tale intensità di vibrazioni, che tutto ciò che non è in  armonia con quella purezza e con quella luce, viene disgregato.  Sì, il male non ha alcun diritto di esistere nelle regioni sublimi, e viene  respinto. Può esistere unicamente nelle regioni inferiori dove si aggira,  devasta e tormenta gli esseri umani, perché negli strati inferiori della  materia, tutte le condizioni gli sono favorevoli. Quindi, secondo la regione in  cui vi troverete, sarete raggiunti o meno dal male.

Yes, evil has no right to exist in the sublime realms; it is repelled. It can  only exist in the lower regions, where it roams around, wreaking havoc and  tormenting humans, because in these lower layers of matter all the conditions  are right for it. So, depending on which region you are in, you may or may not  be reached by evil.

In den  erhabenen Regionen unseres Wesens und des Universums regiert ein solches Licht  und bestehen so intensive Schwingungen, dass alles, was mit dieser Reinheit und  mit diesem Licht nicht in Harmonie ist, aufgelöst wird. Ja, in den erhabenen  Regionen hat das Böse keinerlei Daseinsberechtigung, es wird abgewiesen. Es  kann nur in den niederen Regionen existieren, wo es sein Unwesen treibt und die  Menschen quält, weil in diesen niederen Regionen der Materie günstige  Bedingungen für es herrschen. Ihr werdet also vom Bösen erreicht oder nicht  erreicht, je nachdem, in welcher Region ihr euch befindet.

Il ne peut exister que dans les régions inférieures où il se promène,  fait des ravages et tourmente les humains, parce que dans ces couches  inférieures de la matière, toutes les conditions lui sont favorables. Donc,  selon la région où vous vous trouverez, vous serez ou non atteint par le mal."
