• Quale sapere, quale conoscenza della vita si può acquisire se non si è liberi, interiormente liberi? È l'assenza di libertà interiore che impedisce agli esseri umani di scoprire le verità essenziali di cui hanno bisogno per orientarsi nella vita. Quanti uomini e donne considerano la libertà come il bene più prezioso e si battono per conquistarla! Sì, ma la libertà che cercano non è quella che potrebbero acquisire da un sapere vivo che li sosterrebbe e li salverebbe. Al contrario, essi sono impegnati in attività che li incatenano e li rendono ciechi. Somigliano a un uomo oppresso da preoccupazioni e dispiaceri che attraversa un paesaggio o un giardino magnifico senza vedere nulla. Tutte le meraviglie del cielo e della terra sono lì, attorno a loro, in loro... ma per vederle, per comprenderle, dovrebbero essere liberi, interiormente liberi.
• What knowledge, what understanding of life can we acquire if we are not free, inwardly free? It is the absence of inner freedom that prevents humans from discovering the essential truths they need in order to orient themselves in life.
  So many men and women consider freedom to be the most precious possession, and they will fight to achieve it! Yes, but what they seek is not the freedom that can give them the living knowledge able to sustain them and save them. On the contrary, they are engaged in activities that enslave them and blind them. It is as if they were walking through a magnificent landscape or garden but were so weighed down with worries and grief they were unable to see any of it. All the wonders of heaven and earth are there, all around them and within them, but to see them and understand them they would have to be free, inwardly free.
• "Welches Wissen, welche Erkenntnis des Lebens kann man erreichen, wenn man nicht frei ist, innerlich frei? Das Fehlen innerer Freiheit hindert die Menschen daran, die essenziellen Wahrheiten zu entdecken, derer sie bedürfen, um sich im Leben zurechtzufinden. Wie viele Männer und Frauen betrachten die Freiheit als das kostbarste Gut und kämpfen, um sie zu erringen. Ja, aber die Freiheit, die sie suchen, ist nicht jene, die ihnen das lebendige Wissen geben kann, das sie unterstützen und retten würde. Im Gegenteil, sie sind mit Aktivitäten beschäftigt, die sie fesseln und blind machen. Sie gleichen einem von Sorgen und Kummer gebeugten Mann, der eine Landschaft oder einen wunderbaren Garten durchquert, ohne etwas davon wahrzunehmen. Alle Wunder des Himmels und Erde sind da, um sie herum und in ihnen, aber um sie zu sehen, um sie zu verstehen, müssten sie frei sein, innerlich frei.
• Quel savoir, quelle connaissance de la vie peut-on acquérir si on n’est pas libre, intérieurement libre ? C’est l’absence de liberté intérieure qui empêche les humains de découvrir les vérités essentielles dont ils ont besoin pour s’orienter dans la vie.
  Combien d’hommes et de femmes considèrent la liberté comme le bien le plus précieux et se battent pour la conquérir ! Oui, mais la liberté qu’ils cherchent n’est pas celle qui peut leur donner ce savoir vivant qui les soutiendrait, qui les sauverait. Au contraire, ils sont engagés dans des activités qui les enchaînent et les rendent aveugles. Ils ressemblent à un homme accablé de soucis et de chagrins qui traverserait sans rien voir un paysage ou un jardin magnifique. Toutes les merveilles du ciel et de la terre sont là autour d’eux, en eux… mais pour les voir, pour les comprendre, il faudrait qu’ils soient libres, intérieurement libres.
