• Fra tutte le realtà visibili, la luce è quella che meglio esprime il mondo spirituale: ci permette di vedere, ma di per sé è inafferrabile. Ecco perché spesso si assimila Dio alla luce. Si dice che Dio è luce, ma quale luce?... In realtà noi non conosciamo la luce; quella che noi chiamiamo così, ancora non è che una materializzazione grossolana di una potenza situata molto al di là e che ha accettato di manifestarsi sotto forma di radiazioni, di vibrazioni. Dio è dunque molto più di quanto l’idea della luce possa darci di Lui. Nulla ci può dare un’idea di Dio, nulla Lo può definire, tranne quello che riusciamo a scoprire in noi quando ci mettiamo al Suo servizio. Ma anche allora, pur se possiamo esprimere ciò che viviamo e sentiamo, non possiamo dire che cos’è Dio.
• Of all visible realities, light is the one that best expresses the spiritual world. It allows us to see but cannot itself be perceived. This is why God is often likened to light. God is said to be light, but what light? We do not actually know light; what we call light is still only a gross materialization of a power existing far beyond it, which has agreed to manifest in the form of radiation and vibration.
  So God is much more than the idea we have of him given by the light. Nothing can give us any idea of what he is, nothing can define him, except what we come to discover within, when we place ourselves at his service. But even then, even if we can say what we are experiencing, what we are feeling, we cannot say what God is.
• Parmi toutes les réalités visibles, la lumière est celle qui exprime le mieux le monde spirituel. Elle nous permet de voir, mais elle-même est insaisissable. C’est pourquoi on assimile souvent Dieu à la lumière. On dit que Dieu est lumière, mais quelle lumière ?... En réalité, nous ne connaissons pas la lumière ; ce que nous appelons ainsi n’est encore qu’une matérialisation grossière d’une puissance située bien au-delà et qui a accepté de se manifester sous forme de radiations, de vibrations.
  Dieu est donc beaucoup plus que l’idée que peut nous en donner la lumière. Rien ne peut nous donner une idée de Lui, rien ne peut Le définir, excepté ce que nous parvenons à découvrir en nous lorsque nous nous mettons à son service. Mais à ce moment-là encore, même si nous pouvons dire ce que nous vivons, ce que nous ressentons, nous ne pouvons pas dire ce qu’est Dieu.
• Unter allen sichtbaren Wirklichkeiten ist das Licht jene, die die geistige Welt am besten ausdrückt. Es ermöglicht uns zu sehen, ist aber selbst unfassbar. Deshalb wird Gott oft mit dem Licht verglichen. Man sagt, Gott sei Licht, aber welches Licht?... In Wirklichkeit kennen wir das Licht nicht; was wir Licht nennen, ist nur eine grobe Materialisation einer Macht, die sich weit darüber befindet und die es akzeptiert hat, sich in Form von Strahlungen und Schwingungen zu manifestieren.
  Gott ist also viel mehr als die Vorstellung, die das Licht uns von Ihm vermitteln kann. Nichts kann uns einen Begriff von Ihm geben, nichts kann Ihn definieren, außer dem, was wir in uns selbst entdecken, wenn wir uns in Seinen Dienst stellen. Aber auch dann, selbst wenn wir in der Lage sind, über das zu sprechen, was wir erleben und fühlen, können wir nicht sagen, was Gott ist.
