Il mondo invisibile / Invisible world - the visible world would not exist without it / Monde invisible - condition d’existence du monde visible

• Qualche giorno fa, avete incontrato un amico: era vivo. Successivamente, però, ha avuto un incidente, e ora lo vedete steso su un letto: è morto. Si tratta sempre di lui, ma qualche cosa di invisibile lo ha lasciato; era quel "qualcosa" che lo faceva camminare, parlare, pensare, amare. Ora potete mettergli accanto tutto il cibo e tutti i tesori del mondo dicendogli: "Tutto questo è per te, rallegrati!" ma non c'è niente da fare: lui non si muove. Allora, come si può mettere in dubbio l'esistenza di un mondo invisibile? Il mondo visibile - in questo caso il corpo - non è niente se non è animato, sostenuto da una realtà invisibile. Dietro ciò che è visibile, bisogna sempre cercare l'invisibile. Se per noi il mondo esiste, se possiamo vedere il cielo e il sole, è grazie al principio invisibile in noi, il quale ci permette di scoprirli attraverso quegli strumenti visibili che sono i nostri occhi. Se il principio invisibile non fosse presente, i nostri occhi non servirebbero a nulla, e noi non vedremmo. Il mondo visibile altro non è che l'involucro del mondo invisibile senza il quale non potremmo conoscere niente di tutto ciò che esiste intorno a noi. 
• A few days ago you met a friend, who was very much alive. But since then, they have had an accident, and now you see them laid out on a bed, dead. It is still the same person, but something invisible has left them, something that allowed them to walk, speak, think and love. And you can place all the food and treasures in the world next to them and say, 'It's all yours, be happy!' there's nothing doing, they won't move. How, then, can one question the existence of the invisible world?
  If for us the world exists, if we can see the sky and the sun, it is thanks to this invisible principle in us that allows us to discover them by means of these visible instruments, our eyes. If this invisible principle were not there, the fact that we had eyes would be of no use; we wouldn't be able to see. The visible world is merely the outer wrapping for the invisible world, and without the invisible world we could know nothing of what exists around us.
• Vor einigen Tagen habt ihr einen Freund getroffen: Er war lebendig. Aber inzwischen hatte er einen Unfall und nun seht ihr ihn tot auf einem Bett liegen. Es ist immer noch er, aber etwas Unsichtbares hat ihn verlassen; dieses Etwas brachte ihn dazu, zu gehen, zu sprechen, zu denken und zu lieben. Ihr könnt neben ihm alle Nahrung und alle Schätze der Welt ausbreiten und zu ihm sagen: »Das alles ist für Dich, freue Dich!«, es ist nichts zu machen, er bewegt sich nicht. Also, wie kann man die Existenz einer unsichtbaren Welt in Zweifel ziehen? Die sichtbare Welt – hier der Körper – ist nichts, wenn er nicht belebt und von einer unsichtbaren Realität unterstützt wird. Hinter dem Sichtbaren muss man immer das Unsichtbare suchen. Wenn die Welt für uns existiert, wenn wir den Himmel und die Sonne sehen können, dann wegen diesem unsichtbaren Prinzip in uns, das uns erlaubt, sie durch die sichtbaren Instrumente, unsere Augen, zu entdecken. Wenn dieses unsichtbare Prinzip nicht da wäre, wären unsere Augen zwar vorhanden, aber sie würden uns nichts nützen und wir würden nichts sehen. Die sichtbare Welt ist nur die Hülle der unsichtbaren Welt, ohne die wir von all dem, was uns umgibt, nichts wahrnehmen könnten.
• Il y a quelques jours, vous avez rencontré un ami : il était vivant. Mais depuis, il a eu un accident, et maintenant vous le voyez étendu sur un lit : il est mort. C’est toujours lui, mais quelque chose d’invisible l’a quitté, ce quelque chose qui le faisait marcher, parler, penser, aimer. Et vous pouvez déposer à côté de lui toute la nourriture et les trésors du monde en lui disant : « Tout ça, c’est pour toi, réjouis-toi ! » rien à faire, il ne bouge pas. Alors, comment peut-on mettre en doute l’existence d’un monde invisible ? Le monde visible – ici, le corps – n’est rien s’il n’est pas animé, soutenu par une réalité invisible. Derrière le visible, il faut toujours chercher l’invisible.
  Si le monde existe pour nous, si nous pouvons voir le ciel, le soleil, c’est grâce à ce principe invisible en nous qui nous permet de les découvrir à travers les instruments visibles que sont nos yeux. Si ce principe invisible n’était pas là, nos yeux qui sont là ne nous serviraient à rien, nous n’y verrions pas. Le monde visible n’est que l’enveloppe du monde invisible sans lequel nous ne pourrions rien connaître de tout ce qui existe autour de nous.
